Why should we be honest and follow the right path

Is there a logical reason for following the honest and right path?

If we watch or observe around us, we will notice that nature, by its nature, is not reactive. It is rather proactive and slow reactive.

Take for example, cutting off of trees and vegetation in a part of the planet; for whatever reasons. We see that if we stop using that part of the planet for a few months, nature automatically takes over.


In a few months of disuse, vegetation starts to grow. And over a period of time, covers that area entirely.

This happens everywhere, Take the temples of Angkor Vat. Even places where great civilizations existed, once they are gone, nature takes over.

This is the greatest lesson that we can take from nature; resilience. 
 
Nature does not react. 

Nature waits patiently. 

Nature takes over.
