If God is one then why there are so many religions?

It becomes easy to understand life, if only we care to look around us, for comparison, for examples that are abundant.

Let us try to make this simple.

We buy different products for our use in everyday life. There are hundreds of products, nay brands that are competing to be our favorites.

Our title rephrased would read, “If the purpose is to clean the teeth, why is there not just one toothpaste brand?”.

Brand X toothpaste says they are the best, Brand A says it has salt, Brand B says it has salt, pepper and clove, Brand C says it will paint our teeth white and so on.

All the brands are made by people who want their product to outsell the other; and they have only profit in their minds. The brands mass produce the product and they may have unnecessary addons like fluoride, preservatives and such, the ingredients on which we have no say.

To make things more confusing, all brands will also have a sub-brand, which will again claim the “BEST” tag.

Most of us are compelled to purchase one brand or the other. What we do not know is that we have another option; we can make toothpaste home; if only we care to.

So, if we like any of the products available in the market, we are free to make your choice. On the other hand, if we wish to make our own blend, using the ingredients from one product and another, we are free to do so.

Or, if we wish to mix just salt and charcoal powder, we will do that too.
The purpose is to clean the teeth. The owner of the teeth has the right to make that decision.

But, whichever brand you choose, USE THE PRODUCT.

Same is the case for everything else, including religion.

Religions are Brands, God/Truth is our purpose.

God/Nature did not create us as sheep; we were created so that each one of us would use our power of analytical thought to find the truth. But, Alas! The sheep switch seems to be ON by default in most of us humans.

If we are humans accepting human values, non-violence, love for one and all, whichever religion we belong to, doesn’t matter.

Those of us that are evolved beyond a certain level, will respect everyone, because they have reached an intersection from where, the path converges into one. They have realized that we are all one and have been fighting over nothing.

But, the fact remains that most of us, are far away from the single path and will continue fighting, till realization occurs.
