Does luck exist in this world?

A simple answer to this question as to whether “Luck exists in this world” would be the question “Would you expect a bank to give you interest if you had not made a deposit in their bank?” or “Would any bank’s representative come calling at your doorstep for outstanding dues, if you had not taken a loan from them?”. Would the tree bear fruit if it is not watered regularly?
When the answer to the questions is “No”, then why should we believe in Luck? We only get what we deserve.
If you wish to know more, read on.
It may not be as simple as it seems. But, there are answers in nature around us. We only have to look.
I am going to tell you something abstract. It may be difficult to comprehend, but we can experience and tune it through our spiritual practice.
If you are some person who thinks everyday “Let there be good in this world; let all beings in this world be happy; Let there not be misery in this world” you are spiritual. You may or may not follow a God or religion. But, any being that is compassionate, loving and kind is a spiritual being.
What does this have to do with LUCK? It does have a lot to do with it.
The Universe that we live in, is ALIVE and RESPONSIVE. If we ask a question, nature gives us answers.
The secret is to ask the question and be listening. It is like communicating through wireless. Both the parties should be tuned in to the same channel.
Nature gives everyone the same treatment. Everyone in this world is being communicated to, individually. But, since most of us are not listening or tuned into the channel, we do not get the message. Being spiritual helps us tune into nature’s channel.
Note that being spiritual and being religious are not one and the same. You can be religious and not be spiritual at all. Or you can be spiritual and not be religious at all. The advanced souls are always spiritual and beyond religious reservations. For nature, all neem trees are neem trees, all humans are alike. It is us that give the name of Ram, Rahim, R’phael and Ronald.
Coming to the point, if we are starting from home and we are going to meet with an accident, nature will try to communicate with us and warn us about it.
Since, nature cannot speak to us in our language, it communicates through signals.
Somebody had mentioned about meeting a friend, jumping the queue and then meeting with an accident on return.
There is a verse in Bhagavad Gita, which puts things in perspective. It says, “Whatever happened happened for good; whatever is happening is happening for good; and whatever will happen, will also happen for good”.
In the case of his friend, while starting from home, he would have received some indication, an obstruction of some kind. A hint would have been given by Nature, if this accident was going to hurt him.
There was another case that we remember, where a minor incident happens that delays our travel by two hours. Later, we find that there has been a major accident, where we would have been, had it not been for that delay.
To sum up, in nature, everything happens with a reason. I would say Luck in other words is called Destiny.
Note: Regular spiritual practice improves our Luck!
